Further to the Far East ?North America rotation changes announced last January for the OCEAN Alliance ?ay 10 Product? CMA CGM is making further adjustments to the Transpacific network. The most significant change is the split of the OCEAN Alliance Asia ?USWC ?Asia ?USEC ?SW3 + AWE3?pulum service, which is operated by CMA CGM as ?olombus Jax?or ?JX? This pulum turns in eighteen weeks with 11,250 ?15,260 teu ships. The Asia ?USWC leg will be succeeded by a new service operated by CMA CGM under the ?TE?brand name. The alliance partners will co-load and market the service as ?EA2?(COSCO), ?E1?(Evergreen) or ?EAP?(OOCL). The 9,365 teu APL DANUBE will offer a first sailing from Haiphong on 28 May. The ?TE?loop will turn in nine weeks and serve Haiphong, Cai Mep, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Oakland, Kaohsiung (new), Shekou, Haiphong. CMA CGM will deploy tonnage in the 9,365 ?13,100 teu size range. For the time being, the ?olumbus JAX?or ?JX?will be maintained as a Far East ?US East Coast loop only serving Yantian (new), Cai Mep, Port Kelang, Singapore, Colombo, Halifax, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Shanghai, Yantian. The Far East ?USEC ?JX?will be staffed with vessels ing their last voyage for the pulum ?JX? Some of them will thereafter be shifted to the fleet of the OCEAN Alliance Far East ?USEC ?WE8?loop, which is also operated by CMA CGM as ?hesapeake Bay Express?or ?BX? This points to possible further adjustments in the future. On the Far East ?US Gulf ?WE6?service, operated by CMA CGM as its ?EX3? the planned addition of Jacksonville will not materialize. A call at Miami is added instead. The ?EX3?loop will continue to turn in 13 weeks with 7,400 ?9,950 teu ships calling at Singapore, Cai Mep, Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Houston, Mobile, Miami, Singapore. It is marketed as ?ME2?by COSCO SHIPPING Lines, ?EX3?by Evergreen and ?CC1?by OOCL.
